Last night, I went to a presentation at the Boise REI titled "snowshoeing basics". It wasn't too incredibly interesting or informative aside from the mention of several nearby places to go snowshoeing that are perfect for beginners just getting into the sport! I have my snowshoes already, so now I'm just waiting for the snow to come back!!
I'm looking forward to the other presentations I've signed up for this month and next, as well as some of the bigger-scale classes I am looking into taking (avalanche class, WFR certification, pilot license)
